ambulances are a gently charming six-piece from fife, scotland. ‘the future that was’ is their debut album and was recorded with legendary producer kramer who flew across the atlantic to mix, master and produce what he described as a ‘post modern masterpiece’. there’s a touch of mazzy star when sara sings, a dash of the beta band, the mellow end of spiritualized and the vocal harmony expertise of the teenage fan club. a cracking and cheap little album that deserves your attention.
